Altadena Collective
Restoring Altadena together. Through the power of community we can rebuild a resilient and affordable future.
Mission
Provide information and resources to help Altadena residents make informed rebuilding decisions.

Connect affected residents to take advantage of collective organization throughout the rebuild process – whether that be in coordinated third party services like synchronized surveys or group construction with a single builder.

Collaborate with design and engineering professionals to facilitate coordinated drawing and permit delivery on behalf of residents.

Create and manage a process to qualify and vet construction professionals and material/finish suppliers so that better rebuild opportunities can be presented to Altadena residents.

Coordinate with local non-profit groups to assist in protecting a resident’s interest in remaining in their neighborhood if they choose to stay.
Consulting
We provide fire recovery consultation relative to our experience. We collaborate with the local agencies like Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles to identify options and pathways for a property owner. NardiHaus will listen to your questions and provide feedback and options for you to consider.
New Construction
Depending on your situation, a new construction project may be a better fit for your home or business. NardiHaus is experienced in current building codes and with the same local agencies to ensure a smooth process to a completed project.
Feasibility
A rebuild will require an understanding of the local agency requirements and a review of what type of project you may consider to rebuild your property. The cost to accomplish this alongside the means and options to pay for it requires an analysis for your best scenario to pursue relative to your needs.
Temporary / ADUs
One of our focuses is on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) as a model to help alleviate the housing shortage in California. Alongside those types of projects would fit temporary housing, modular, and prefab construction as means to get back on your property.
Historic Restoration
We are dedicated to preserving the historic legacy of the affected communities. Consulting with local stakeholders alongside reviewing photographs and stories of a property is part of the process for how we can achieve a historic restoration at a fire damaged location.
Like-for-Like
Like-for-like rebuilds are expedited at most local agencies. This option allows for a historic rebuild or a new construction project relatively similar to what was previously on your property.
